In 2006 Reegen worked with Windpower Wales Limited to establish the aims, objectives and ethos of a potential Sustainable Life Centre for North Wales. In 2007, Reegen went on to carry out a feasibility study that identified potential sites, activities, funding and financing options. |
Riverside Holiday ParkRiverside Holiday Park has invested heavily into improvements in its holiday park over the last two years. As a Silver David Bellamy Award winner they were keen to minimise their energy consumption. Reegen assessed their energy bills, energy management practices. A site visit identified the major energy users. An equipment audit identified that the heating system for the park and its swimming pool needed replacement. An energy action plan will help them to target and monitor their energy savings. Outline options for the production renewable heat and electricity were presented. Thermography used to assess building condition and the heating system identified HVAC problems in the swimming pool that as well as costing more for energy, could potentially cause damp and condensation problems. |
Welsh Institute for Sustainable Environments
Aberystwyth University through its WISE network has assisted REEGEN in developing its online energy calculator for businesses. Spinout Wales, the WISE network and Reegen work together to develop and deliver products and services that contribute to minimising the impact on the environment at the same time as supporting improved economic performance. WISE is the Welsh Institute for Sustainable Environments and is a partnership between the Universities of Aberystwyth, Bangor and Swansea. Reegen became a Spinout Wales company in August 2007. Spinout is designed to support innovative companies that are based in research, technology, concepts and ideas developed either within Higher Education Institutions (HEI's) or provide expertise to HEI's. |
